Training
Training Requirements at MC ARES
Monroe County ARES strongly recommends that all members complete the following training:
Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Level 1.
In addition, the following courses are required for RACES members scheduled to work at the Emergency Operations Center:
IS-100 (ICS 100) Introduction to Incident Command System
IS-200 (ICS 200) ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
IS-700 National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction
IS-800 National Response Framework (NRF), An Introduction
It is also encouraged to start an ARES task book to keep track of individual training records:
